1. Who we are
Valulens OÜ ("Valulens", "we", "us", "our") is a private limited company registered in Estonia, with its registered office at Pärnu mnt 11, 10131 Tallinn, Estonia. Valulens operates the website valulens.net and the Valulens property intelligence platform (together, the "Service"). Valulens is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service, unless stated otherwise.
2. What data we collect
- Contact & enquiry data — name, email address, role, market of interest and message content submitted via our contact form or waitlist.
- Property & document data — addresses, cadastral numbers, and documents (e.g. valuation reports, contracts) you upload for analysis.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Account data — where accounts are offered, login credentials and preferences associated with your account.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data to: respond to enquiries and provide requested information; generate evidence-cited valuation reports and process uploaded documents; operate, secure and improve the Service; communicate updates about early access and product availability (where you have opted in); and comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the basis of: your consent (e.g. waitlist sign-up, non-essential cookies); performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (e.g. generating a report you requested); and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, always balanced against your rights.
5. Data retention — the 90-day rule
Documents you upload for analysis, and the reports generated from them, are automatically and permanently deleted 90 days after upload, unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or is otherwise necessary to provide a service you have specifically requested to be retained. Contact form submissions are retained only for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry.
6. Where your data is stored
All personal data is hosted on infrastructure located within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards in place, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with EU-based service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. hosting providers), under contractual obligations consistent with the GDPR. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@valulens.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local supervisory authority.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the automatic 90-day deletion policy described above.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
